Walked in to Joeys on a friday night and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. There was a live band playing in the patio area which made the whole ambiance very inviting. Our waiter offered us the sangria which was made with prosecco and tropical fruits , it was very refreshing and crisp, perfect for miami weather.
We decided to share two different dishes: the grilled octopus appetizer and the Joey's pizza. Both dishes were very well executed, the octopus was tender and very well seasoned. The pizza had mushrooms, shallots, mozzarella and tomato sauce...one pizza was enough to share.
Overall, it was a great night, good food and great service!

There is a step that is impossible to see when entering the resteraunt. I stumbled on the stairs and broke my toe. I stood there at the entrance right in front of the hostess clearly in pain while she and everyone else completely ignored me. I asked for the general manager, who came after 10 minutes of waiting like an idiot trying to stop the blood from my toe. When he finally came he made absolutely no effort to make it up and offered no apology whatsoever. I will likely sue them just for the way I was treated. I'm just posting this here so you know what kind of service you will be getting here.

Quiet place. Food is OK. Prices are a bit higher than the average for the quality of food. The service was the best. There is an outdoor area. Cozy.

We are visiting Miami and decided to meet some friends (who are locals) here for dinner. There were 5 people in our party. Dinner took forever (took over two hours). Other people who sat after us got their food before us. There were flies everywhere in the restaurant. Our server was not attentive. Drinks were never refilled. On top of all this their credit card machine went down so it was a disaster getting the bill (took over 30min just to get the bill) and itemizing and getting the receipt.
I would not recommend this restaurant

This place has a nice interior and it's at the heart of Wynwood. The patio area is a nice space as well—great as a trendy/elegant sit-down restaurant. It's unfortunate, however, that I cannot say the same about their food and service.
My bride and I had the salami (pepperoni, really) pizza and ordered a small plate of Alfredo pasta for our daughter. If you plan on getting the pizza, prepare to ask for napkins as it's a plate of grease. The pasta was undercooked—I'd say that's enough of a description there.
The service was record-setting (in a bad way). After they sat us down, there was absolutely no acknowledgement for, what felt like, over 30-40 minutes. Oh, then there was the subject of ageism: can't say I've experienced that before until going to this restaurant. I could see how attentive our waitress was to the "non-millennial" couple sitting across from us. This couple sat down, and almost immediately had drinks in their hands. I could see how she suggested certain items and appeared to have a more "enjoyable" time—the exact opposite type of service we received. She made it seem like she wanted us out of there quickly.
Surely plan on never going back to this tourist trap.
