Service was top-notch: attentive, quick, efficient, professional. Every taste, from the oysters to the crudo to the burgundy was phenomenal. The lunch menu is cool.

Chef Andrew Carmellini, whom New Yorkers know (and love) for Locanda Verde, Little Park, Lafayette, and the Dutch in SoHo took his act on the road opening inside the W South Beach. (Fun fact: Carmellini’s grandfather ran the Surf Club down the street back in the 1950s.) The seafood-heavy menu features crowd-pleasers like the diver scallops and farde salmon; the Biscayne Platter (a dozen oysters, little necks clams, corvina ceviche, etc.) is good for a group while the sheep’s milk ricotta is a no-brainer. The dining room, designed by the New York-based Meyer Davis Studio (The Dutch SoHo, Lure), marries a mod beach look with driftwood beams overhead, light oak floors, and a zinc-top bar. At lunch, ask for a table outside in the garden.

The food is so so good and the staff is very nice and the manager is wonderful I love the Resturant and I will go there whenever I ever go back to south beach 😄

Wow, what a great find while visiting South Beach on the return end of a cruise. Steak tartare was exquisite, and the red snapper was full of flavor. Wine and beer selection are excellent, and on the ground floor of the W, quite fitting. The crowd here was more sophisticated to say the least.

Is a really nice trendy restaurant inside the W Hotel. The scene is beautiful and the food looks to be very good from what I saw. My wife and I went by for the oysters happy hour special. I would stick to the east coast oysters, as they have the salty taste we prefer. There was a mishap with the food as we received the raw oysters and raw oysters for a second round, but it was quickly rectified and addressed by the floor manager. I love the scene and appreciate the justification for their pricing. All Things Considered, I would still say this is an overpriced spot but a great hangout all the same.
