Island Dreamer provided me with an all inclusive package that fit my schedule and my training needs. I took the 101-104 classes after spending time reading the material to prepare and had an amazing time. I definitely learned how to sail, but also enjoyed myself with good food on a nice clean boat & awesome instructors that answered my many (endless) questions. I think the real test came six months later. I had not been on a boat since my classes & had a 9hr layover at LAX. I went down to Marina Del Ray and chartered a Beneteau 25 for the afternoon. You learn to fly by jumping out of the nest, but 20 minutes later I found myself single-handing the boat in the Pacific (and docking 3x) as if I did it regularly. THAT was a confidence booster. I chose the right school. Ultra-nice, chill, professional people.

A wonderful way to see a unique (i.e. underwater) national park! Our captain was knowledgeable and truly loves what he does and it shows. So, I couldn't actually stand up on a paddleboard...that wasn't their fault and kneeling was fine by me! It was so peaceful rowing among the mangroves so far from shore and snorkelling, too. It was great to meet and bond with other travelers. A highlight of the trip!

He delivered on everything we had agreed on, and the vessel was in great shape for training and accommodations. Our training was thorough and enjoyable. The "couples' training" is really a great idea and we received a nice and productive sailing experience. There was just the right mix of work and play and we understand that can be challenging to deliver.
Derrek and Stephanie are great hosts and trainers and real assets to the company. I highly recommend the Island Dreamer Sailing School!

My girlfriend and I just completed ASA 101, 103 and 104 (Miami/Florida Keys). Harold runs a very professional company. He delivered on everything we had agreed on, and the vessel was in great shape for training and accommodations. Our training was thorough and enjoyable. The "couples' training" is really a great idea and we received a nice and productive sailing experience. There was just the right mix of work and play and we understand that can be challenging to deliver.
Derrek and Stephanie are great hosts and trainers and real assets to the company. I highly recommend the Island Dreamer Sailing School!

Captain Derrek and Captain Stephanie were great teachers and hosts on the Morning Dance! We booked a 7 day trip to complete 3 levels of ASA certification. My husband and i were excited to do this together with another couple. We easily passed our tests thanks to our great captains who made sure we were fully prepared. Captains also made sure we had lots of time to learn and practice sailing techniques. Lots of firsts for me since I had never even driven a power boat before! We really enjoyed our trip and time with derrek and Stephanie. They also prepared great meals and we were able to go to shore for a few meals as well!!! Very memorable trip!!!
