I am the mother and grandmother, of Shannon Dilulo and her daughter. They were in traffic that was moving slower than normal, due to the fact that a dog had been hit by a car and was in the road. The continuous traffic, would have to swerve around the animal to avoid hitting it again. When my daughter and granddaughter approached, they were shocked that the dog was STILL ALIVE! No one even caring, much less the person who hit it in the first place, to even check if it was STILL ALIVE! They immediately stopped to help. After they got it into their vehicle, my granddaughter (who, has wanted to be a vet in all of her 14 years), "googled" the nearest veterinarian. The first and nearest one, Shannon Animal Hospital, on Big Spring St. The chain of events from the moment this dog was hit by a car, till that poor, broken, hurt dog took it's last breath, should be of great concern to all of us. I can't even write the words of how I'm feeling about this so called "animal hospital". To all of the staff that participated in the extremely poor behavior and lack of empathy for what you are supposed to have built your business around, an ANIMAL in need, are clearly in need of a refresher course in why you are there. Shame on you, for what I hope is not irreparable damage, by your utter disregard for this dogs life, that was witnessed by my granddaughter. Shame on all of you! You may want to consider changing your business name and not including the word, "hospital". A hospital is where you take the hurt and sick. Thank you, my daughter and granddaughter...you absolutely did the right thing. God bless you for that.

Shame on the owners and staff for creating an environment that so uncaring and willing to turn their backs on the animals they say they care about. My daughter and I saw a dog on the road who had been hit and was still alive. We pulled over and took it to the nearest vet we could find. When we came into this clinic and told them what had happened we were told they didn't know if they could take the dog in because they are a private facility. Then they asked if I was a client of theirs. I hope you can all imagine what that sounded like to someone helping a living animal in need, who was clearly in need of attention. I also hope you can imagine what that was like having my child look at me and ask what you were meaning by that and why you were not helping this dog. I had to explain in so many words that you pretty much didn't want to take in a dog you were not getting paid for. My daughter and I are both lovers if animals and were appalled at the response to this. For a place that caters to animals this was a disgusting display of their lack of consideration for the animal lying there in need. There are so many people that take in and help not expecting anything in return, and I guess we were wrong to think a vet clinic would care about this dog. Anyone who works with animals, especially on a daily basis should at least care to a certain extent. The staff began asking each other and then the people in back if it would be okay to take this animal. When they finally decided they would they assured me they would do what they could. What is sad is that I do not believe they did much of anything to save the dog or to find the owners. Shame on you for handling a situation like this so disturbingly. As I am sure they do not care about this post I hope that whoever reads this does. I truly hope this staff changes and they see how clearly wrong they were in this situation.

We have been using Morgan and Greg for close to 25 years. They are all great. We feel very fortunate to have had them taking care of our animals for all these years. They are like family.

So many of my friends had recommended his clinic because they said the doctor is top of the line, so I called them to explain to them my problem, how and why I no longer wanted to take my baby to Mesa Verde and how it's VERY hard for me to put my faith into, and trust any vetenarian the lady on the phone would not even hear me out for a few seconds before she said "Um we are no longer accepting patients, we are full" I said well can I call back next time my dogs need a vet and see if y'all are st...""...(interrupting me) we have been full for two years, you probably won't be able to get in for another couple of years, okay?" and I can't really type out her attitude, but she had one... so because my dog and I were not patients, she didn't have to be nice and talk to me kindly... if this doctor is as great as my friends and family give her/him credit for being I think it's time for A new whatever that lady was. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
