This has become one of my new favorite bars in the city and always makes me want to come back. The drinks follow the theme and the atmosphere the bar creates perfectly and they taste great of course. This is one of the few bars that you walk into any time of day that immerses you in the theme the bar portrays so perfectly.

What a curious place! Friends bright us here, I thought they might not be open because of the dark windows but was assured they were. The inside was very interesting almost like sitting on a beach. Large selection of rum drinks. Wish we had gotten there earlier.

We loved Foundation! My husband, daughter, and I stopped in on a Saturday evening and had no problems finding a table, although it was moderately busy. They have all the traditional tiki drinks on their menu plus some unique concoctions. Some even come with a complementary cup (which were surprisingly nice quality!). Decor and vibe are wonderful, we really enjoyed the music playlist, and the bar was clean and comfortable. Drinks were outstanding.

After living in Milwaukee for 30+ years I finally made it to Foundation. And I have been back three times in the past week :D Their selection of rum is absolutely incredible and their drinks are fantastic. I love absolutely everything about this place and will be a regular visitor from now on. They even have souvenir glasses with several of the drinks so you can tiki up your home a bit too.

I lived and worked around this bar and never took notice. Got an invitation from a friend one day and had a marvelous time with great ambience and service. Sometimes you have to check a place out for a second time in order to assess the establishment. Well, I came back today and it was very laid back with a very intimate crowd. The drinks were made to perfection and themed to the bar. I'm glad I found this bar and will frequent it more because it's a Riverwest hidden gem.
