I've been shopping books at Reader's Choice since around '89 when she was on Teutonia. I remember using sometimes the last bit of spare money I had to purchase a book of interest. I've even purchase books via phone order after having relocated to Phoenix, Arizona in 97. The best book I've read to date (Yurugu, Marimba Ani), which I still have, was purchased from Carla (1994). Because I've always felt more than welcomed in her store, it wasn't uncommon for me to visit her at the store when returning to Milwaukee some 15 or so years later. Carla is truly beautiful person. Milwaukee will be loosing an invaluable resource, teacher, and elder. Ase

This wonderful store provides a unique selection of books and wonderful customer service. People come from miles around to access their selection. There is nothing like going into the store, holding the books in your hands and browsing in person. Online stores just don't provide that experience. Great to support a locally owned business with our questions and dollars!
