Growing up in Milwaukee, WI one of my favorite places to grab good food, especially wings was Elsa’s on the Park. Elsa’s is conveniently located downtown across from Cathedral Square Park where Milwaukee’s free summer music series Jazz in the Park is held. Elsa’s is a popular, trendy and intimate restaurant; so expect to wait whether in the summer during Jazz in the Park or during the cold winter months.

My trip home for wouldn’t have been complete without convincing my friends and brother to come out in 25 degree Wisconsin weather to eat wings. Elsa’s wings has been the same since I first tried them almost 10 years ago. Their wings are saucy, cooked to perfections and served with waffle fries. They offer 1) Buffalo Wings, HOT & SPICY 2) Buck ‘N Wings, TANGY TERIYAKI 3) Dragon Wings, ORIENTAL SOY & GINGER. My favorite flavor has always been Tangy Teriyaki, but you can’t go wrong with any of these three flavors.

According to Elsa’s website, “No matter what sort of day you’re having… you can always come to Elsa’s for great nachos”. I think they should add their chicken wings to this slogan, because after eating these wings you leave full and happy…although their nachos and burgers are also great!

Been a patron for 30 years and it has always been a phenomenal experience. I have been a follower and patron of all of Karl's restaurants No better custard than Kopps ( not Culvers nor Gilles). Bravo and fantastic food, drinks and service. Come and enjoy.

Worst beet salad in the city, and very expensive. Had exactly 3 slices of beet in the entire salad. The nachos are tasty but no sour cream in the restaurant, oh well. Decent drinks, nice atmosphere, late night menu till 1am on weekdays (possibly longer on weekends?). Great location and vibe. I love a good Salad, especially a quality beet salad and this was just awful, wish I could get a refund. It almost made me sad eating it.

Not good appetizers menu options, too many veggies and such. Prices are medium expensive for such place and size/flavor of the entrees. Server was not good, barely came to our table of 8 to check on us and they charged us 18% tip just because we were a group of more then 6... really? service was bad why should we give 18% to a bad service? This just promotes the bad service of the employee to continue unnoticed and rewarded. Server was 418 Nina.
Initially didn't want to sit us by the wall because we were less than 7 people... later when we were 8 people they didn't want to switch us to the tables by the wall because then "they couldn't use our round tables to just sit 2 peoples", ridiculous. Bad manager decision. (We were asking to be moved because of the chilly air coming in to our food every time people opened the doors). Drinks are overpriced.

The place ambiance is good. Good pricing, looks fancy but affordable dining options. Wine inst exorbitant either. However though, the pork sandwiches were too dry , and the server managed to break the wine cork. My wine had a bunch of tiny cork pieces in it. So maybe not the best service? Or I just had bad luck.
