Reservation for 6 pm on a Friday night for 2 of us to celebrate my wife's birthday.
On arrival, the restaurant was totally empty, yet our request for a different table was originally frowned upon.
Competent wine list, though heavy on Pinot Noir. Asked for help with selecting wine - recommendation was spot on.
FOOD:
Corn soup - really good - excellent inventive combination of flavors.
Steak tartare - delicate beef flavor was overwhelmed by bright taste of raw peanuts
Goat - meat with lentils, impressive combination of flavors and textures.
Veal Tenderloin was very good and expertly cooked, however the farro risotto had lumps of some sour stuff (menu said chevre, but tasted more like sour cream), which totally killed it.
Halibut - slight fishy smell, overcooked, but tomato terrine was really good.
SERVICE:
The waiters in an empty restaurant seemed to be preoccupied with some chores, forgetting to fill our water glasses.
Overall, Food: 3.5, Service and attitude: 3

Awesome food masterfully prepared, finished and explained tableside, I had the salmon and was delicious, also the potato soup was excellent and slowly mixing and trying the ingredients one by one gave a whole new set of flavors in a single dish, will come back for the pairing menu!

This is simply put the date night place for a meal. You are here for great food, wonderful wines, and great service.

Great place for a quick stop or a night out. The Stace may not have much grace on the exterior but inside it's a quality bar. Great beer choices and great mixed drinks. Special thanks to Brett and Mike for the service and kindness. Check it out!

We go to a lot of restaurants and this has to be one of the best restaurants in the area. Very small and cozy place and the tasting menu is exceptional. The service is also very good. Great place for a date or special occasion. Been there 3 times in 2016 and it will always stay on top of my list for soecial occasion places to dine. Bravo to the chef and the entire staff.
