What a treat! I went in to this little Milwaukee gem after seeing them on the Travel Channel and I was not disappointed. I did not try the Commish Challenge but I had a traditional corned beef sandwich.The cashier recommended I had the toasted version and she was right! It was the perfect buttery toasted sandwich with spicy brown mustard and a pickle to compliment. I went during the lunch rush and took it to go. Despite the volume of people, all of the workers were very nice and smiley :) I'll definitely be back to try one in house and get some of their corned beef and cabbage soup.

This place is beyond amazing. Its exactly what it should be...a historical reminder of our past. The sandwich is nothing like anything else. It's worth the time and comparatively to other famous delis, Jake's is much more affordable. Go here.

The good. Reuben was outstanding. Soup was great. The bad. The floors look like they were last mopped in the 90's. I don't mind minimalist/no frills dining but please be clean. We ordered 2 sandwiches, and a motza ball soup. We ere not told we would get soup with our sandwiches. Fine, we will take soup to go. Ask for to go container while waiting for our order as we dined in. Server brings to go cup and our check. We pay, and sit for another 15 minutes. Finally our server comes back and says hope you have a good day. She forgot to give us our actual food, and was sending us on our way! So we ask for it, get the meal and of course my request of how my sandwich was to be prepared was wrong. Also 2 sodas, 2 sandwiches, 1 soup was $37.00. I like to support small business but for that price everything must be fantastic. Have no plans of a return visit.

Great authentic deli. I would give it 4.5 stars if that was an option because I thought for the price they could have included fries or chips. Other than that the sandwich I had was great.
