Staff wasn’t welcoming, didn’t acknowledge my presence at all until I wasn’t in their sight. Even then one of the members came to the back glanced at me and walked back to the register. Anyway, I found what I was lookin for...eventually. Their burrito’s are ok!

I am new to being vegan, my girlfriend has been vegan for awhile and as we are new to the Milwaukee area wanted to try Riverwest Co-op. We loved it. I got the biscuits and gravy with the vegan sour cream. I was amazed. The biscuits are delicious, they and the mushroom gravy are definitely homemade. The gravy is a brown gravy that I feel you would normally see on mashed potatoes or something like that and not a breakfast dish, that said I would still order it again and smile with every bite. My girlfriend got the tofu breakfast scramble with veggies. She couldn’t get enough and finished the plate. She was full but wanted more, it was so good she couldn’t get enough. The grocery store is pretty cool as well. We walked around for a moment and found a couple blue sky sodas to enjoy with our meal. You order in the cafe and pay in the store, bring your ticket back and give that to the cook when they call your name for your meal. We will definitely be back and can’t wait to try other things on the menu.

STAFF makes you not want to return to a great place. They are all chill with their little click but when anyone else comes in they are aloof n cold n strait up ignore you, ESP if you don’t wear the hipster uniform.
It’s like a reverse Pretty-Woman moment.
Food is good if not drowned in Veganaise or oil. Don’t get fruit there it’s dead on arrival to your house. Soup is greAt
I wish they had a more welcoming vibe n a smile or two wouldn’t hurt on the employees.

The best market in this area with wonderful natural foods and a friendly cafe to boot. Use member #007 if you need one. Try the Ruben sandwich, it's fantastic.

A great oasis for vegans, and especially vegan travelers. Being on the road and eating plant-based can get tricky, but MKE has this covered well. We had Tofu Scramble, biscuits and gravy, and French toast. It was a beautiful day, we sat outside and enjoyed conversation and some sunshine. I think the food could be better overall, but judging by the amount of business I also understand that keeping up with high demand can come with slightly less attention to detail. Bonus: picked up items for our hotel kitchen while there from the Co-op. I'll be back next time we are in town!
