I would give 0 stars if I could. My boyfriend and I brought our Hurricane Harvey rescue dog here for his first check up since he was brought to Wisconsin from Texas mainly to check out some skin irritation (he was found chest deep in stagnant water). The vet (Dr. Shimon) barely looked at his skin before rattling off several tests he wanted to do without really telling us what they were for, why he wanted to do them, and how much they would cost. It felt like he was more interested in selling us tests and shots than making an informed decision on the best treatment for him. I wish I could say this was the worst part of the visit but when it came time to give our dog his shots it when things got really ugly. Our dog was freaking out from being held and poked, he swung his head and hit the tech in the face. Dr Shimon decided to put a muzzle on him to finish the shot, which we were ok with, but then proceeded to scream in our dog's face and wrestle him to the ground while our dog was clealy distraught and stressed out. Thankfully another vet stepped in who was able to calmly finish the shot. I have never seen a vet act so unprofessionally in my life, it was truly appalling. I personally have volunteered at several rescues and whenever a dog is showing signs of stress acting erratic and aggressive is not the answer to making him comply, this is common sense. This vet then had the audacity to explain to us that our dog was displaying a fear response, well I would be too if you were screaming at me and pushing me to the ground. And on top of that had the audacity to try to sell us behavior training classes at the end of the visit. Needless to say we will not be going back.

This is the only veterinary clinic I will take my pets to. Their staff - vets to techs to office staff are knowledgeable and caring. They take the time to get to know each pet and owner, delivering the right care to ensure quality care while being budget conscious.

Friendly staff that treated my dog and I with the utmost respect. Did not pressure me to purchase additional services and allowed me the autonomy to make my own decisions in that regard. Would recommend to friends and family with pets.

I love that there is a place full of friendly people who ask about your other pets at home and are so geniune that you can't help but continue to come back. I have so much confidence that if there is something I am concerned about that Wauwatosa Vet Clinic will answer my questions and heal my concerns. Love this place!

My boyfriend and I recently rescued a dog that we were still getting to know and the staff did a great job on making her feel comfortable. They were very nice and understanding to us. Definitely recommend this place!
