This is a classic neighborhood coffeshop!
Easy parking, comfortable seating(indoor/outdoor) and excellent coffee...
Great home made pastries, sandwiches, soups and breakfast menu.
Best of all...friendly efficient counter service.

Very nice, but not precious about it.
Coffee shops of this quality are usually selling a fancy concept around their food and drink. Royal Grounds doesn't, and is all the better for it. It's just a nice neighborhood coffee shop. (Their only "concept" is tipping built into their pricing, which I appreciate.)
The regulars here are close to the owner/operators, and the atmosphere is a perfect fit for the neighborhood.

No tipping policy. So while the prices are a little higher, you won't be tossing an extra dollar in at the end. So that's nice.

Wonderful neighborhood coffee shop. Wide selection or treats and a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. Staff is really friendly and knows me by name. They really foster a sense of community here. I used to be a barista, and I think they do a nice job on their drinks. A+

Would give this place greater than five stars if I could. Local corner coffee shop with top-notch espresso drinks, and delicious pastries. Friendly staff, owners who have gone out of their way to make it clear they view pay living wages etc as important. Did I mention that all else aside, their coffee and lattes beat just about any others in the cities?
