Hidden sanctuary in the city! Eerily quiet. Hauntingly beautiful. Perfect for introverts or just anyone who has a hard time finding a moment of peace in the urban cacophany.

This serene micro-climate is probably best visited in the heat of the summer. A bit forlorn, but somehow amazing in its own right.

My favorite time of day to visit is during rush hour. Just take Theo Wirth Parkway south from Hwy 55. It will be on your right side, very shortly.

Also, most of these are hiking trails, not bike trails! If you are looking to conquer the earth on some expensive 2 wheeled piece of vanity, there are other trails nearby.

This place is the perfect combination of beauty, silence and nerve-racking (if there is no one around). It has 2-3 different trails but all of them gonna meet at a point, so don't worry about choosing the right trail just roam around and feel the nature. Once you reach the center of the Bog you won't feel that you are in the city. It's amazingly quiet.

The best time to visit this place is in the morning. I find this place little frightening at evening time.

It has paid parking lot. But you can park in Theodore Wirth Parkway and walk from there to quaking bog which is around 3min walk.
