Great place to spend the end of summer. This space is also used for other events like car shows.

What can be said about the Great Minnesota Get Together than has not been said. For some one who has not been, it is a must go. I met a gentleman from Chicago who had driven up to spend a day and was so into what he found that he stayed over an additional day.
Plan to spend half a day in the agricultural area, it is fascinating. The gondola sky ride gives you a great overview of the fair.
