A delightful family run restaurant. The food is delicious and savory. Everything is cooked to order and the restaurant is small and busy so you need to be patient. It's worth the wait!

If I could give them no star rating I would. I stopped going to Marla's 3 years ago because every time we would come they would be closed for a staff meeting or for whatever reason in the middle of the day or there would be no place to sit, couldn't get it to go - just more hassle than it's worth. I don't care how good the food is. I decided to give them a try again a week ago and regret it. It's 2:40 pm. I'm told they close the kitchen at 3. Well? As soon as I pointed out what time it was, the time moved to 2:45. Never again will I go to this place.

I love this place. Marla is friendly and very personable. The waiter was a bit intrusive but he wasn't rude or mean....like someone reported . The sweet potato pie is great. It stands next to mine. The oxtails are good and the levels of spicy sauces are amazing.

Marla's is one of those places where, once you've eaten there, you'll have very specific cravings for it. She knows how to pack in the flavor whether it's spicy or not, and you'll definitely eat until you're too full because you just want one more bite.

They do run on island time, though, so if you're in a hurry you might want to save Marla's for a time when you can kick back and enjoy the company you're with.

Get the Doubles to start, and don't overlook the island beverages on the menu.

My husband and I loved this place! Our first time there and we spoke with almost the whole family! They are wonderful and the food is amazing! It is a small family owned business and any wait is worth the wait! We can't wait to go back! We felt so at home and enjoyed everything we ordered!
