Absolutely love this place. The beer hall was packed with positive energy. The staff did a phenomenal job despite the chaos that was a packed house. We were lucky enough to book a tour beforehand. Highly recommend the tour, they’ve got a great story to tell about the history of the company, explanation of the brewing process (and scale) and what sets them apart from other breweries. Then the highlight, guided tasting of three of their beers. For $6 you get the tour, a tasting glass, and $1 of your admission goes to a local charity. The food was top notch, the limited menu allows them to focus in on the quality of the food, and quickness of the service. We had a great overall experience.

Can’t go wrong with a good meal and great beer! Can be difficult to get a table some nights with long waits, but the outside area is huge to wait it out on nice nights. Up at the bar people are usually attentive (but not always). Can’t wait to try the new pizza concept going in the second floor space!

Great atmosphere. Very nice facility. The tour was really fun. Outstanding food and outstanding beer. I highly recommend trying the Barrel Aged Pentagram and Misanthrope (two of my favorites from surly). I cant wait to go back and try the wood-fire pizza restaurant they plan to open in the upstairs portion of their facility.

This establishment had excellent and prompt service. Their wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I had a group of 12 people and they were able to give each person their correct order and the correct bill since everyone was paying individually. We visited on a Thursday morning at 11:00am when the doors opened. Following lunch we took in the Brewery tour and that was equally as wonderful. The guide was fantastic, easy to understand and had a nice loud voice given the nosier environment that a working brewery can be. He had fun and was very engaging - the taste testing at the end was top notch! I highly recommend this as a place to visit and enjoy a meal. It is family friendly with a large outdoor patio space used for eating as well as playing bean-bag toss when the weather is appropriate. There is even a gift shop of course.

I'm not one to leave bad reviews, but I do not need to visit this place ever again. We went to Surly to celebrate my brother-in-laws birthday. Maybe 10 of us. We got there and the place was beautiful. Giant glass windows showing off the brewery and a large bar you could order from with a very minimal wait time. The food was good and the beer was cold. There wasn't much for seating when we arrived but we were there for 2 hours or so. The place started to clear out and there was at least 10 large tables open in the place. No wait line at the hostess stand. We had a table for 4 that could seat 8 so a couple of us sat down at the 4 extra chairs. It took about 10 minutes for some kid to come over and tell us we could not sit there. Keeping in mind, we were at a couple hundred in food and drink by this point. I asked why. There was legitimately no reason, he just said we had to talk to the hostess. So we went up there to talk tot he gal. Like I said, no line and 10 tables open, she told us it would be 45 minutes before we could sit. We went back to our table and rounded everyone up. I would have loved to stay but not after that. The manager came over, wouldn't even look at us while she tried to explain why we couldn't sit there. Whatever, I'll spend my money elsewhere, forever. I won't go back. It seems dumb but we were paying good money to have a good time. We found a couple cooler places to go. I will not buy Surly anymore.
