Way over priced, for 170 dollars for me and my husband we didn't get filled, I swear I got the world smallest lobster tail, and 2 nuggets of steak and two nugeta of chicken? Way over priced, and a forced 20% tip? There's high scale restaurants that coat less and give more food, don't go here it's a rip off

Been going to this place for 4 years now for our anniversary! And we can't wait to come back again next year. Great food! Great service!

I get what the Melting Pot is about, I've only ate their once, after moving Downtown almost 4 years ago.
For someone who likes quiet, I actually went there by myself for my birthday (in December) during a blizzard (I live super close by) and the food was excellent (I had the 3 courses, plus getting chocolate covered strawberries free for my birthday and got enough leftovers to get 2 more meals out of ) and the service was excellent and I had the place to myself!!!
The one and only time after that I tried to eat there, was with friends, it was super busy, and it was so loud, which didn't help that our table next to us, had 5 young children running around unsupervised. The noise was enough to give me a migraine, so I left.
I expect this to be a busy and noisy place, that kids can be welcomed to. I think for the expense, we had been there awhile before we got service and I can't believe I was the only one in my party who was so affected, but I wasn't about to pay for a dinner that I couldn't have had a prayer eating. I don't think kids obviously should be banned, but because for some people, it's a special occasion place, people could use more discretion, on supervising young children who could potentially ruin other people's meals, especially for how close in proximity they were seated.
I am their girl though, should they have a promotion during a blizzard, again.. ;)

I have no idea why so many reviews are negative or anything less than excellent. I give five stars for both the food and the service. We were seated right away, ordered quickly, and were brought the first course right away. The waiter had perfect timing of when we were done with one course and ready to bring us the next. He asked us for every single course if we needed more dippers to finish off the fondue with or if there was anything we liked that we wanted more of. The manager even came around to introduce herself, check on people, and ask how the service was. You are educated clearly and extensively on how to handle the meat; anyone who gets food poisoning only has themselves to blame. We were totally stuffed by the end of dessert. Yes the food is expensive, but this is a nice restaurant and you are also paying for a unique experience. Obviously you would not come here all the time to grab something to eat, but if you want to splurge on a nice meal or celebrate a special occasion this place is perfect.

My family and I were there last night celebrating my niece’s birthday. Our experience as a whole was negative due to being treated poorly by some of the staff working there. Although we had reservations, it took about 15-20 min to be seated. We were place in a very small space for the size of our party. The gentleman who explained our bill the first time, said it was correct only to comeback a second time and say that it was, in fact, incorrect and that they made the mistake. We were charged more for the bill that we were originally told was correct and were told to pay the new bill. My niece was given a left over ‘gift’ from the restaurant basically because a different birthday party was a no show that night. Talk about making a gal feel special! (*insert sarcasm here*).
I rate this a one star (if I could it would be a .5 star) not because the food was horrible, rather it was quite delicious. I’m rating it low because I have never been treated as poorly as I had at your restaraunt by some of your staff. Your greeting staff were not very welcoming or pleasant from the beginning to the time we left. A couple of groups were seated before us, even though they arrived well after the time we arrived. I don’t know the reason for the ‘special’ treatment we were given, however I do have my suspicions. Rest assured, your company will not be getting our business ever again.
