Ordering food took nearly forty-five minutes with the waiter stopping by a number of times saying that he would be right back to us, but taking up to fifteen minutes to return. I initially ordered my filet medium-well, but the waiter did not recommend this preparation. I explained I order it this way to avoid being served a rare piece of meat. I relented and ordered medium. As can be seen in the attached photo, the filet was barely cooked (center was cold to the touch). I also ordered a bottle of wine to be delivered with the meal. The bottle arrived twenty minutes after the food was delivered. I chose not to accept my birthday dessert as I did not want to take any longer at the restaurant (we left after paying at 9:15 p.m. - two hours forty five minutes for an incomplete meal). Only received a two rating as appetizers were delivered promptly and tasted good.

We went to The Oceanaire last night for our 37 wedding anniversary. We usually go to The Oceanaire once a year for a special occasion. Everything was wonderful from the hostess to our waiter. Everything was wonderful. We were a party of 4. The table was too small. That is the only complaint I have. I will definitely return.

Wonderful interior finishes, nice helpful staff, the kitchen can't avoid over cooking everything.
Wonderful fresh caught Salmon, supposed to be medium rare.. served dry and well done. Steak and shrimp20, rare steak, served medium well, the shrimp way over cooked.
Sad when they start with such high quality fare.
People are great.
Valet somehow turned on all interior lights and opened the rear door, hands me key, asks for his $10., Doesn't open car doors or mention lights and rear door. Valet service does not match the restaurant service....

The food was good, but not for the price. Other upscale seafood restaurants offer more interesting plates for about 40% less. Portions were very small. Left half-full after paying over $100 per seat. Other than that, service was great, so was the vibe.

What a top-notch meal. The food was excellent and the service was even better. Our waiter, Michael, had wonderful suggestions for what to order, what was fresh etc. and treated us very well. I would recommend the Oceanaire to any friend.
