A driver for Midwest accosted our college-age daughter and her two friends. The driver picked them up at the State Fair and then drove them to Hopkins, insisting he would except a bank credit card. He said his phone wasn't working and he needed one of theirs for navigation. He took 70+ minutes for a 30-min drive, claiming to be lost. When he arrived in Hopkins, the meter read $90 because of the round-about route, and he said he'd reduce the fee "for getting lost." He then said he would no longer take a bank card. The kids had $35 in cash and offered it. He then insisted that only my daughter go with him to pay for his gas to make up for the mythical $90. They refused to allow this to happen and he insisted they find him more money. They went inside to a box we use for our kids to save for their charitable giving money and brought it out to him. He took all of the money inside – about $25 - and wanted to keep the box. They asked for the box back and were able to walk away. Granted, they were shaken by this and could have stood up to him more, but his behavior was deplorable. When we tried to contact the company, there was no answer despite multiple tries. We will be following up further until this matter is resolved.

I lost my wallet in one of the cabs. I called the company and the person at the other end of the line said we have lots of cabs and hung up on me. I called back and he said let me call you back in 5 minutes. He never called back. Worst customer service ever. Stay away.
