About a year and a half ago my dog got fully ran over by a car. She shreaked a few then immediately went into shock and became unconscious. I called in a fit full of tears for directions and to let them know I was coming. When I pulled up, they rushed out and carried my dog right into the ER in for me with no time to lose. They kept my Honey-Love for 3 days/nights until they closed for the week. These miracle workers absolutely 100% saved my dogs life. The healing process was rough at first (afraid of cars, pain, pooping straight up blood), but as the years pass, she now runs and plays and you'd NEVER guess she had ever been (severely) injured. I do not remember the Doctor's name who helped us.
These doctors see trauma day in and day out with deeply loved furry pets. They work long hard hours and trained a long time, to be providing us with their care. The doctors here are a blessing to this world.
Thank you, thank you, thank you

Terrible experience here. Avoid Dr. Dave Marchiafava like the plague!! My partner and I came in at 4am on a Monday morning concerned about our small dog-who we later discovered had a bad case of pancreatitis. Dave Marchiafava was extremely unprofessional, and constantly refereed to my puppy as "THIS DOG-in a way that showed that he did not care for his pet patients nor their owners. Additionally, when he spoke to me and my partner he spoke about his sickness in medical jargon that only confused and scared us even more than we already were. We found ourselves asking him several times, "so what does that mean? or is he going to be OK?" It was a traumatic night and Dave Marchiafava-who I will stop calling him a doctor, made it worse.

The stress of having a very ill dog is awful - here we barely had to wait to get into a room, then the support staff was in quickly, very kind and the vet was calming. They administered fluids, a shot and prescribed medication, we paid and it all took around a half an hour. It was amazing! Not to mention our dog, who is 17, felt a lot better, too! Very affordable as well - which is always a relief.

My dog injury herself and we went in for an x-ray but I end up waiting several hours before I left that awful place. The doctor never introduce herself so I don't even know if I was talking to the actual person that was taking care of her in the back or just an assistance. They didn't even tell me the results from the xray. I never got the result until they were discharging my dog. I waited four hours before they told me anything! It took them another hour to dispense medication and complete paperwork for her discharge. What kind of place take an hour just to dispense medication and do paperwork?!?!? They got the process all backward, they probably should go back to school and re-learn how to run this place! It would have been nice if they check in with the clients with updates every so often, especially for those who had to wait hours and hours. I had to go to the front desk so often just to get an freaking update! I even caught them sitting behind the desk, watching youtube.
I felt they were almost racist, almost everyone else they saw was in and out before me. I got in a 8pm and did not leave until 1 in the morning. If you can wait to see your vet, it is best to wait as they charge a ridiculous fee. I could have gone to my regular vet and pay only one-third of the price. This place deserve a zero, not even a one star.

Vet came in after examining my dog for 5 minutes who was stumbling and urinating on herself. Vet asked me 6 questions,5 of which were related to marijuana. Didn't explain anything. Offered to keep her overnight for $800 but said she's fine as she's stumbling and swaying. I paid $122 for an exam that was completely useless. Turns out my dog had a seizure (not related to marijuana toxicity) and the U of M vet was so much more helpful and explanatory.
Oh and the vet used a clipboard on my blind dogs face to stop her from going thru the door. Like what? Really?
After I had decided to seek another opinion, the vet was huffy and rude about it. They couldn't give me the name of one single other emergency vet that was open either. Don't remember the guy's name even. I'd recommend the U before this place any day to any one.
