Missoula Oral Surgery

This was my second visit to Missoula Oral Surgery. My first visit was exceptional (see below), so I came back because my dentist could not perform a difficult tooth extraction. My tooth, which had a root canal, had cracked and now it needed to be removed and prepared for an implant. Dr. Wiswell fit me in early Friday (8/4/17) morning (7am). The staff was very professional and efficient. I had a mild sedative, and before I knew it, I was waking up and everything was done!! Quick recovery and I was back to work the next day!! Thanks Dr. Wiswell. your surgical skills are amazing!!

First visit (several years ago): I had a root canal with a dentist/endodontist a couple of years ago and after the procedure I kept getting swelling in the gums above the tooth that had the procedure. This went on for about 6 months. The dentist kept putting medicine in the area where he had drilled out the roots, but the fistula (swelling in the gums) persisted, and finally he recommended that I see an oral surgeon. I went to Missoula Oral Surgery where Dr. Wiswell and his staff performed surgery on the infected and swollen gums. Unfortunately, the infection had caused bone loss to the area under the gums. After the initial visit to stop the infection, I returned about 1 month later, and Dr. Wiswell performed a bone graft to the area, restoring the bone loss that had occurred from the infection.
Both visits to Missoula Oral Surgery were exceptional. I've never dealt with a more professional staff. Dr. Wiswell's surgical skills are remarkable!! I thought I might need to miss several days of work, but I felt good enough to return to work the next day after both of my visits!! It's been over a year now, and I've never had another problem with the area that had been infected. The bone graft worked perfectly!!
I can thank Dr. Wiswell and all his exceptional staff enough for completing a very technical and difficult procedure in such a prompt and professional manner!!

Dr Wiswell is a gem. He helped our son when he needed emergency oral surgery. Although it was a serious situation, his demeanor and professionalism buoyed us all through the procedure and healing process. Thank you!

All I can say is this place is amazing treat you so well Dr.Wiswell is truly an amazing person I can not speak any higher of him.He took a chance on me when countless dentists and oral surgeons wouldn't help me because of my insurance he stepped in a gave me the chance A million thank you for giving me my smile back this will be my families go to from now on

Dr. Grant Wiswell and his team are truly the best in the west for dental care. He is an exceptionally skilled and intelligently knowledgeable board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon dedicated to providing the utmost best and almost painless dental treatment for patients of all income levels. Dr. Wiswell and his excellent staff always work very long and hard hours. I often see radiographic images on the monitors of his two surgical rooms late at night as I drive by the office on my way into town. He and his staff readily accommodated my 13 year old son for emergency surgery to remove a tumor at 6 am the very next day. Dr. Wiswell’s keen sense to detail and smell enabled him to catch and correct a mistake made by the compounding pharmacist who missed a key ingredient in the Carnoy’s solution used to kill off residual tumor cells during my son’s surgery.

He practices extraordinary pain control to make sure patients are comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.

Over the past four years, Dr. Wiswell has done surgeries on four out of my six children who also have severe anaphylactic food allergies. We look forward to returning to Missoula Oral Surgery for all our future dental needs. Dr. Wiswell and his team provide only quality dental care done only with excellence and class! Patients always are made to feel important and leave knowing they got a whole lot more than what they paid for.

Wow! Just...wow! What an amazing team of people! We called because my oldest son was in incredibly pain due to his wisdom teeth coming in. The staff of Missoula Oral Surgery literally bent over backwards to get us in for a consultation as soon as physically possible and a plan was made immediately to get my son taken care of. The appointment was set for literally one week later. I'm so impressed with the level of care and concern Missoula Oral Surgery showed for my son! The nursing staff were just wonderful with him and they answered all of our questions. Even a nervous mom (that would be me) didn't seem to upset them. They assured me they had dealt with nervous moms before! Dr. Wiswell is amazing! He exudes confidence in his field and that in itself immediately puts you at ease. His added attention and concern for the individual he is speaking with puts you even more at ease. Let's face it, surgery can be scary, but Dr. Wiswell leaves you with the assurance that you will get his personal best. We are so excited to have found Dr. Wiswell and his staff! I highly recommend Missoula Oral Surgery.
