They were so kind and helpful. They had no problem getting me in quickly and working with my schedule. I would definitely recommend this vet to any and all animal owners. Their number one concern is myself and my animal, not the amount of money they make. Definitely the best vet I've ever been to.

Caring staff will go above and beyond to make sure your pet is healthy. Dr. Keast came in on his day off to perform emergency surgery on my cat.

Grant Creek Vet is excellent. Everyone, from Administrative Staff to Vet Tech's to DVM's are kind and caring. They have excellent listening skills, offer genuine compassion, and provide professional solutions that better the lives of our cats and dogs. They provide thorough testing, openly share their knowledge, and take time to learn about our pets. Dr. Keast and Dr. Johnson are premier Veterinarians, both of whom are easy to talk with and are passionate about caring for animals.

I realize this is a long review, if you want the short version just skip to the last paragraph. If you want the whole story, read on.
Oh, where to start? My dog was very sick but we had no vet. The vet that we had went to previously had retired and sold her practice. The new vet, while possibly competent medically, had a manner to him that we did not like and seemed condescending to anything we asked. So onward to find a new vet.
As we called around, most of the vets did not want to see our dog, citing that it would be better to have him go to his normal vet, and not caring about the above circumstances. Mind you that other than standard puppy and rabies shots our dog has never had a single issue prior to this.
One morning in January our dog began screaming and crying. While this had been occurring off and on for a 3-5 second stretch, this one lasted far beyond that. Given the fact it was already 6 am and the time it would take for an emergency vet to show up we chose to wait for a vet office to open. A quick google search told us that Grant Creek Veterinary opened up at 7:30 am and was not horribly far from us (not sure how we didn't see this before). I showed up to their door right at 7:30 am to bring my dog in. The staff was awesome and the vet, Dr. Marlie Johnson, came out herself so I could explain what was going on. We agreed that we would leave the dog there for the day (she was extremely busy that day) and she would do exams in between other patients.
The total process lasted about 3 months, we took blood labs, x-rays, multiple exams, spoke to other local vets (including 1 specialist), posted everything on a board used by vets across the country, and tried treatments that would help the symptoms. Over the 3 month period he had lost nearly 25% of his body weight and the things he loved most he had limited response or interest in. In the end, every test said the dog should be fine but we still had to let the dog go. Throughout the entire process we could not have asked for more from Dr. Johnson and the rest of the staff at Grant Creek Veterinary.
Everything from taking the dog on as a patient in the first place, to calls at 6 pm to check on the dog and us, to making themselves available to take phone calls. In the end, Dr. Johnson was very empathetic, and seemed just as frustrated as us to not be able to find a solution. When we brought the dog in to be put to sleep she allowed us all the time we wanted to have our last moments with him, waiting to administer the drug until we said it was time. After he passed we were again allowed to stay as long as we like to say our final goodbyes.
If you chose to skip to the end of this review, or even if you read the whole thing, the point is simple. It is great to go to a vet that is invested as you are in your pet. It's nice to feel like they truly care about both your pet and you. Bottom line, Grant Creek Veterinary is a GREAT veterinary clinic with competent, caring staff and I can't say enough positive things about them.
