The owner is a huge douche he ranted and raved in front of the customers (like 5 of them) to an employee about using the wrong drawer. I felt bad for the employee's they looked like they where upset. I gave 2 stars because the food was ok. The macaroni salad was NASTY.

My favorite spot for lunch! The staff is nice...especially the young guy that works the register @ lunch time! He's fantastic! And the nugget meal is bomb! Best nuggests around!

I now live in marina. But I make sure I go through Modesto on my trip to hit chicken barn both ways. Love the chicken beast, nuggets, valley sauce and skinny spuds. I usually take some home for the freezer.

I will drive here from sacramento for fried chicken. My southern grown husband even agrees this is the best fried chicken he has ever had. Not sparkling clean, and I recommend double checking your order before leaving but worth it. So. Amazing.
