We got there at 4:30 restaurant doesn't open till 5 but the bar is open at 4:30 turned out to be a great day. Bartender was fabulous helpful and attentive. Got seated for dinner waiter was wonderful and very very knowledgeable. Would go back every time I visit San Diego.

Fantastic views with amazing food at a great price. Reservations help in getting a table by the window, ask for one once you get there. Great portions!

I generally like this place, it's a great place to take out of town guests. The service is usually top notch, sometimes they drop the ball.
They have great seafood, great traditional meat dishes and a salad bar.
The beer selection is holding them back as far as I'm concerned. They have 2 beers in tap that are local, everything else is bottled and generally basic stuff. They make up for it with wine and mixed drinks.

Excellent service (thoroughly accommodating a food allergy), and pretty good food, but just not worth the steep prices. Crab cake was the best dish, other than that got mushrooms (nothing special) and halibut with avocado pico, which was just OK, nothing near what I expected for $47. Lava cake was also yummy.

I've been here twice now both times for birthdays. The food isn't anything special and would feel more appropriate at half the price. The real treat is the view. If you're able to score a window table the view can make it all worth wild. Watching otters swim by and lights around the bay after the sun sets really makes you forgive the slow and unpolished service. Our first time here we had a window table and overall the experience wasn't something I would recommend but not terrible. The second time we were sat away from the window. After enough time awkwardly catching the eyes of people you're trying to look through you give up trying to look at the view. You realize how long it takes to get your food and for servers to come around. The service felt really unpolished, not bad, just not what you'd expect at this price point.
