Broker Title & Escrow represented the seller in a transaction we were involved in. Seventeen months after closing we discovered the property hadn't been properly transferred because of an error on the documents (even though they received a letter from the city 5 weeks after the closing date requesting a correction). Their error cost us a year of penalty interest on the taxes which I asked them to pay since it was their mistake. They agreed we shouldn't have to pay the penalty, but they didn't pay it.
