Great spot to bring your dogs and hang out. My dogs were ready to go after a short bit of playing because the park is a little small, but perfect for smaller to medium sized dogs. It would be nice if there was some sort of structure for shade as well. The picnic tables are nice, but in the Summer it can be pretty brutal.

Great access to the bridge over the Cumberland. Used frequently for special events photographs. Handicapped accessible. Parking is free unless there is a special event. There is a nice grass area that overlooks the river. There are structures for kids to play on but not a playground, per se.

The splash park is super fun for kids. It's a great spot to bring a picnic and relax with a book too. Plus they have a kid-friendly climbing wall. Take note: the fountains only run during the summer.

An awesome and FREE place to take the kids on a hot summer day. The only thing I don't like is that the way it's designed leaves a lot of places for the kids to get out of your sight. You have to be hyper vigilant with children who impulsively run to different areas.
Oh, and if it’s one day after Labor Day, the splash pad won’t be open. The fact that they don’t have a life guard and are therefore not dependent on student’s schedules and the fact that it’s 95 is apparently irrelevant!

The splash pad here is awesome and there's a large sandbox area near the watet. The kids have a great time running up and down the hills between the two areas. There's also a climbing wall suitable for older kids and restrooms nearby. Plan to spend several hours, pack snacks and water
