Hands down the best Mexican food in the city, in my opinion. You just can't get more authentic than this. Family-run, reasonably priced, and incredibly delicious. It's cash only, and their kids are going to take your order (the owners don't really speak English), but it's well worth it to go a little bit out of your way to this taqueria.

We got the tlayuda, pupusa, tacos, and huaracha. Everything was ok but lacked seasoning. Sadly the avocado was inedible because it wasnt ripe. Meats were dry and overcooked. The salsas were bland. They also use standard store bought tortillas. Had high hopes but overall it was sort of a dissapointment. The agua frescas were great though.

Insanely cheap! great food! awesome staff! if you like traditional Mexican food, this is a MUST for Nashville. Just be aware that they are cash only.

I could not comprehend how anyone could rate La Juquilita less than a 5. Scrolled through the reviews and now I see: people who could not speak spanish and forgot cash. Go with some basic spanish (or an adventurous index finger) and cash, but GO!

This wonderful family has the best tacos in all of Nashville. Freshly cooked from scratch, the cuisine is more central Mexican (they are from the lovely state of Oaxaca) than Tex-Mex. The prices can't be beat and everything, I mean, EVERYTHING, is really good. I just had a sope the other day and it was outstanding!

Bring cash (no credit cards) and a little Spanish if you want some of the best food in town for a fantastic price. (And you don't need to speak Spanish at all; you can point to the menu on the wall.)
They are lovely people and you can't go wrong here!
