I looked forward to trying this restaurant for years. When I finally went, I was disappointed. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was good. Unfortunately, it was the food that let me down.

Excellent place!! I love the French theme of everything. From the entry way to the bar in the back, the place is very up scale and the wood work is stunning. The wine is to die for and the food is simply divine. This is my favorite go to spot when I'm taking client's out for lunch or dinner and they are always pleased. The employees are always smiling, friendly, and most importantly classy. Hands down my favorite place in new haven for date night with my husband!

I'm being hard on this place because I didn't expect a forgettable lunch. So maybe dinner would have been better. And it was! Why the cod dried as I continued to consume it was a bit of a non-mystery during lunch. Two dinners later I was lightly impressed with the duck and some of the fish. Like most fancy french restaurants they forgot to forget about the butter. An emulsion by any other name is still just a drop of something. Defintely try this place. Dress up, spend cash, but eat big.

This is a fancy place, but it justifies it with an excellent experience from start to finish. The space is very open, the wait staff is high in numbers and very attentive. The menu was simple and effective, and the food was excellently cooked. I had the cod- next time I'll get the duck. I couldn't this time because my girlfriend got it, and I was being nice.
