Been there twice in last two weeks, once for breakfast and once for dinner. Both times, I had to send the food back for being ice cold. The mashed potatoes was so cold, the butter wouldn't even melt. Toast was cold. In addition, they got the dinner order wrong twice. The place was not even busy! On the positive side, they tried to rectify it. I will not go back here. Not worth the money.

I called ahead Friday night to see what time they closed, the guy on the phone said they start closing at 11:45. I arrived there at 11:25 and the door was locked and no one acknowledged that I was at the door. Very disappointing.

The service is adequate, and so is the food. You don't go into a diner expecting the best food you've ever had, you expect decently good food with a wide selection to choose from. I've tried this place a few times, and their food falls a bit below that bar for me.

I've been coming to the Athenian since 2008, and let me tell you, I love this place. Great food and atmosphere. We're regulars (my wife and I) for a reason.
