Where do I begin. My only regret is that I have to a give one star and this credit goes to the manager. My evolution when I first joined consisted of 3 sets of 10 lunges with weights of various pounds, even thought I told him I was a avid walker but have NOT used any machines or lifted weights. The rest of the eval went down hill very quickly. When we were finished I could barley walk to his desk to receive a 20 minute hard sell on why I needed a trainer. When I stopped him mid sell I felt that I would have needed a lobotomy to engage one of the trainers after the unprofessional manor in which the evolution was conducted. The next time I went to the gym was for a Zumba class with a friend of mine. At the desk was the manager and upon him seeing me said "Oh its you" I'm really having a hard time finding a good reason to stay at this place!!!

If I could rate LA Fitness in general, I wouldn't even give them a luxury of one star. One star is being nice. I have been to the one in Stamford and Orange and both treated me the same way. The customer service is lousy, no control, no communication between managers and employees, and they never keep their promise. I went to cancel my membership in the Orange location and was told the manager was on her lunch break and usually goes from 1pm-2pm. When I walked out of that gym, I looked at my watch and it said 12:48pm. On another day I called to see if she was in, an employee picked up the phone as if it was her house phone and just says "Helllooo" with no proper greeting to a customer at all. I asked for the manager and she asks which one with an attitude. So I said "The one that can cancel memberships." The employee told me that she hasn't came back yet and the time was 2:17pm. The customer service to this gym is awful and not even the managers are good at taking care of their customers. But yet their competition treats everybody with respect and friendliness they deserve. No wonder LA Fitness is struggling with memberships.

I have been a member for 10 years I follow there rules and never had a issue until now
Over the years I would see kids under 14 years in the pool and never said anything until now
I have a 10 year old that I was told can use the pool justcasxling as its the weekend and certain
Supervisors are there to sneak her in.i confirmed twice I can bring her in.finally the day I brought here there I was made a fool of the supervisors lied to me
They made it seemed they did not know that I was talking about they were trying to cover it up. I complained to Corp headquarters and changed to another la,fitness
People beware don't go to Orange la fitness they lie and are not honest and fast talk over you to make you look like a fool

I love the atmosphere the racket ball rooms, the pool and hot tub after a good long workout, the staff is very inviting and respectful. Very helpful to me and my family. Great local right on a bus line.

This place used to be good when the staff treated it like a gym. Now there are teenagers treating the pool, spa, locker rooms and other facilities like a summer camp facility year round. I assume it's not just the staff but also the kind of patrons that are sending their kids to a gym to play.
Wish there was something else with similar facilities in the area.
