Fantastic hotel. Staff goes above and beyond for you and they are a pleasure to speak to. Always helpful and cheerful. The rooms are gorgeous. Comfortable bed, marble flooring, exquisite bathroom, and more. It is located one street over from Bourbon; just close enough to walk over in seconds but far enough to not hear any noise. The hotel also serves continental breakfast in a beautiful courtyard. The food is much better in quality when compared to the big hotel chains. This is one hotel you don't want to miss staying in! 5/5

Location is perfect for French Quarter stay. Room was quiet and nicely decorated. Staff was very friendly and always available to help.

The hotel is ideally situated in the French Quarter. It doesn't have any modernity besides an elevator. The rooms are fine but could be a lot cuter with an older style approach. Right now it feels like mayve questionable 80s vibes. Service is great except for the one person I asked for to get me salt from the kitchen area and refused. I was beyond sick and could barely stand (needed it to calm my throat) and he told me to go around the block. Even after I explained to him I physically couldn't. There is no room service or kitchen. Free breakfast is at best a bowl of cereal and 2% milk unless you like bland food.

My girlfriend and I stayed here this week and LOVED it!!! We frequent another 4star well know, near by hotel often for a quick get away. We decided to try and new place for a change and glad we did! The Marizan will definitely continue to get our business often. Very clean, nice rooms, friendly staff and great breakfast in the courtyard. We were impressed.

Making reservations was super easy. We called to make reservations because we had a few questions but reservations can also be made online. Our trip to New Orleans was for our 19th anniversary and we wanted to stay in the French Quarter. However, the hotel is not too deep into the chaos but still walkable to most everything.
Janet, our concierge, was super helpful with information about the area and setting up reservations. Day one we found a nice bottle of wine to greet us. Day two we had chocolate covered strawberries. Janet was always quick to respond and always friendly.
Breakfast was free every day and the courtyard was always beautiful. The wait staff was always pleasant and courteous.
The only two complaints would be that the mattress wasn't very comfortable and the room keys would have to be reset daily.
Overall, the hotel was a good choice. The hotel staff was great, the location was great and it was clean and safe.
