MTB Studio has changed my life. I have been going there for almost 3 years now and have worked with both Kim and Mary. Their no nonsense, straight-forward approach is refreshing and the tools they teach are incredibly helpful. I have gained not only confidence but an understanding of what I need to do to make it in this business. Whenever I have a question or need advise they are always there for me. I recommend them to friends and anyone I can gush to. If you are open and willing to work hard you will see the results. I know I have. I have taken Scene Study classes, Audition Technique, Tools Class and Reel Class. MTB Studio is a place where you come in a stranger and quickly find a supportive family.

As an actor and teacher, I appreciate the excellence in teaching at MTB Studio. Studying with Mary provides the most comprehensive learning of contemporary technique an actor can ask for. The foundation she provides allows an actor to confidently walk into auditions, rehearsals and performances effectively solving problems, making the strongest choices to boldly and vividly create characters. Mary engages her students as professionals from day one. She frames your classwork not as an "if" but "when" you are in a professional arena. Her rigor instills a professional decorum that directors and fellow actors appreciated in me, one that helps me to be called by directors and colleagues for projects again and again.

Mary Boyer is simply the best! I have taken various classes at MTB Studio over several years because Mary Boyer arms you with the right tools and a skill set to enable you to get the job you want. She loves her students tremendously and is extremely dedicated but don't expect to be coddled. Mary treats you as a peer, with respect and intelligence. She instills strength and confidence in her students. Mary is so intuitive, she seems psychic at times. I'd rate MTB Studio a million gold stars if I could!

I took classes with Mary for a few years and cannot recommend her highly enough. She provides her students with a safe space to discover and disarm their defenses, and gives them fantastic tools to organically become dynamic and honest characters.

Not for dilettantes; she gives a lot (and cares a lot), and she expects a lot in return.

Mary Boyer has created a studio where an actor can get down to the nitty gritty truth of the craft. It's challenging and risky and an absolute blast. Everything acting SHOULD be. She has an amazing eye that sees through all of your defenses, day to day and lifelong ones, and forces you to break through them to get to the rich,powerful,vulnerable,human choices that bring a story to life in the most electric, truthful way possible. AND she gives you the tools so that you can do it performance after performance or take after take after take. You will not find a teacher more dedicated to her students.
