Very kid friendly space. Dr. Grady explains everything to the children and parents. I am satisfied with her work. Stephanie is awesome. She is very patient with the children and parents.

Beware - Dr Grady said my son has a cavity but it turned out to be not the case, she even suggested opening up two teeth to deal with the cavity - details below:
I have two kids who are patient of Dr. Grady for 3 and 5 years so I am writing this review very carefully, several months after the diagnose and after I seek second opinions.
I have been refusing dental x-rays for my kids with Dr. Grady for years since I don't believe I need them for the milk teeth. Dr Grady always make me sign a 'waiver' detailing x rays refusal and approach it with a rather put down attitude. Okay I understand she recommend it but I feel I can refuse it without feeling bad.
After my son turn 6 and since he has permanent molar I agree to dental x-ray, also I said to Dr. Grady my son's teeth feel sensitive on the upper right side when I floss so I feel it is better to check it out with X ray. Once I did the first set of x-ray Dr Grady said she saw a cavity on the upper right and gave me a 'treatment plan' quote which is basically filling for about $300. I said I would wait and see if fluoride works to restore it so we left it there.
6 months later we went to Dr. Grady for a check up and this time my son's teeth is sensitive on the lower left, Dr Grady went into a mode of between put down, make me feel guilty and aggressive, she took the x ray and told me my son has a cavity on the upper right, and asked me why I didn't do the filling last time and now the cavity is bigger so she has to open up the teeth next to it in order to reach this cavity in between the 2 teeth. I thought 'what kind of a treatment is it, because of a suspected cavity she has to open 2 teeth now to find out if there is a cavity inside ?' I asked to see the x ray and it does not look like cavity to me on the x ray. I research on dental x rays on the internet and have idea what cavity looks like and this does not look like one, it just simply looks like the edge of the teeth, or that the x ray is slightly blur because my son did not bite tight when they took it. So I refuse the 'treatment plan' (which doubles in price now because she has to open up 2 teeth). She also 'blame' me a lot for waiting this out, and said that last time he was sensitive (but on a different part of the mouth), Dr. Grady claims that I cannot distinguish upper right from lower left and got the area of sensitivity all mixed up.
I research and thought about it a lot for a night or two, I am not the mother who wants to avoid co payment or fix my son's teeth, but I hate unnecessary treatments. Dr. Grady's attitude of blaming, putting me down and pressure really put me off, but makes me suspect also of the treatment recommended. I felt her attitude is really unprofessional.
So I went back to the office a few mornings later and demand a copy of the x ray, the receptionist said they cannot give it to me, they can only give it to another dentist. I said I want the x ray for record and for showing my dentist friends (who are overseas) to ask them their opinion. They said they couldn't open the x ray from the computer etc, gave lots of excuse, I insisted, ask them just to print it out on paper and they did in the end. Dr. Grady, this time with a different attitude (told me she is a mother too and she understand the stress of deciding treatment for your own kid blah blah blah). My point is the x ray looks so normal that it is not convincing at all there is a cavity.
So I switch dentist and ask them to send the x ray over. Of course for whatever they sent over it cannot be opened in my dentist (also in NYC)'s system. But the new dentist did check my son's teeth (with more technology) and look at the print out x ray and told me that there is absolutely no cavity in there.
So there you are, if I had believe Dr. Grady's aggressive pitch, or succumb to her pressure, I would have open 2 teeth of my son, to find out there is no cavity in between it.

Waiting room has books and television for children and magazines for the adults. Staff was extremely nice. My child never had teeth clean but the staff was supportive and helpful in relaxing her even thru her crying. Child will enjoy the gift baggy of dental items and stickers :)
