I will be the first to say that this has been a nightmare for me. The Administrator is very professional and very helpful, however the attendants and staff that I have seen are nasty and their mannerisms are that of the street. I had an experience with a staff calling me the B word, just for asking a question. My daughter admitted something to me about a nurse calling her a poor horny thing and I believe her, because of the way they have come across and treated me as well. They are nasty and have no knowledge of how to care for the mentally ill. I have not see kindness or any kind of compassion for my daughters situation. I have seen rudeness and complete unprofessionalism. How is my daughter to get better if these are the type of people that are taking care of her. Mrs. Willis protects her staff no matter what. She will never let her staff be made derogatory. So now I have to go to the state to get help. I am a diversified person and come from a Hispanic background and have never seen such behavior. This is not a high school or a playground and this is certainly not your home. This is a mental facility where you have to act a certain way regardless of how extremely difficult the patient may be. I do not feel comfortable with the staff and know for a fact that they make my daughter uncomfortable and make comments. Expect cold answers from the doctor as well. The fact is that these people that are watching the patients are there for a paycheck and for time. Only have met 2 nurses that have been nice. What a great experience it was to be with them. If you have a child or adult that needs to be transferred tell your social worker not Meadowview. Please do your research.
