Nice sized room in a good location, but other issues lead to the poor rating. We checked in around 11am and were told to return around 2:30pm for our room. Fair enough, check-in is at 3pm. Asked at the desk at 2:55 (I'm not exaggerating) and the.guy behind the counter checked the computer and said it wasn't ready, check again at 3pm. I asked if five minutes is really going to make all the difference. The guy behind the desk rudely dismissed me. At 3:05 I approached the desk again, got a different receptionist, she called the cleaning staff and the room was indeed ready. A little effort would have gone a long way with the first guy.
Other issues - the toilet runs if you don't jiggle the button right, and the heat / air machine makes a lot of noise, including a noticeable thud every time it kicks back on. Not recommended if you're a light sleeper. Expected better for the price we paid.

Very great location, clean, market across the street and restaurants near by. Our room had a small kitchen and living area, beds (mattresses) could definitely use an update. Levain bakery and Tessa's restaurant are nearby, both GREAT.

They host a happy hour for new mom's that's really quite lovely. We appreciate the hotel doing this. With that said, the waiter really wasn't very nice to us. He barely came back around, and we had to flag him over for more drinks. When we were leaving, one of the mom's may have forgotten her credit card... (though we didn't actually recognize the name, so it might not have been our group). He rolled his eyes and said "this is why I take the credit cards because then they come back". These are Manhattan mommas... Not exactly types to skip on checks, so treat it as the probable mistake that it was.

Hotel is very nice outside and upstairs inside. We were downstairs on the lower level for a networking event. The bathrooms were great downstairs. The room we were in could have been better. It felt like we were at an AA meeting.

Loved it! Good location in terms of safety and cleanliness. This hotel is very close to central park and lots of restaurants nearby. Allowed us to check in early. The room contained a kitchen. Good concierge service.
