The staff was friendly and professional, that was greatly appreciated. Also, the hotel is close to the city... it took us about 25 minutes by train or bus. And the hotel wasn't expensive at all. So that part we appreciated. However, the hotel is within a neighborhood... we did not feel safe or comfortable walking at night. The lobby chairs are out dated and rugged. The microwave is shared among all visitors and it was out of order. The hotel ran out of bottled waters so we had to walk to the corner store to get some. Our room was somewhat decent. Our view was of a burned building and construction. The bed was hard, the bathroom smelled like a sewer and the carpet had stains on it. But we made the best of it. Hopefully this review is helpful for others. I would advise all to pay the extra money and stay in the city. ❤️

I'm not sure why this hotel has such low ratings- I think people may be nit picky/difficult.
This place was clean, fresh, the bedding was nice, breakfast was more than I expected with hot food (sausage, toaster, hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, fresh waffles etc)
Parking is a bit pricey at $25 a day, 5 mins from a subway station

It's a good hotel to stay outside of Manhattan. It's a 5-minute walk to the nearest subway station and in a couple more minutes you can arrive at the island. The rooms are spacious, the beds are good and there is a complimentary breakfast. Would stay here again.

Everything was good. Room clean, good breakfast. Only the mini fridge in the room is missing. Highly appreciated.

Cards were supposed to be swiped in a certain order for the room and deposit and parking. Cards were not swiped in right order. Got to room and it was dirty and smelled like smoke. Wife was pregnant so she could not take the smell and we were told it was a non smoking hotel. Went to cancel reservation and there was no manager on duty that night so was told had to wait until morning. Funds were held in pending status and they had no idea when the funds would be released. Ended up staying at a Wyndham Garden Hotel much better experience.
