Went there with a Groupon. Service was not great. They lost my reservation (never use a phone to mage a reservation anymore) and the staff kept saying they were really busy even though the restaurant was less than 50% full.
The food was great. The lobster bake they had was a great lobster with plenty of sides. And the dessert was top notch.

The perfect place to have a NYC wedding!!! Between the stunning views, accommodating staff who answered my hundreds of questions and guided me through the planning process, superb food, and competitive prices- penthouse 808 made our decision to get married here a very easy one. Our guests could not get over how gorgeous the venue was and they truly made wedding planning so much easier as they provided everything from tables, chairs, linens, a DJ, food, drinks, staff, menus, and handled all set up and break down! Thanks to Elyse for all her help!

Pleasant upscale venue with an eye-popping view of the bridge and the Manhattan skyline. Some dishes are Instagram worthy, but lose much of their magic when actually tasted. Drinks were good, and service was decent, even though the place was humming on the Sunday evening I was there. That said, the prices are high, especially for what you get. Also, chalk it up to snobbery, but when I pay that much I prefer an atmosphere of quiet cool, and this was more like dinner at the dance club; dim lighting, pumping dance music, and VIP bottle service, fireworks and all. I wouldn't mind returning now and then, especially with out of towners, but probably just for a quick drink to enjoy the sweet summer air high above the river.

The hotel looks great and the staff is really nice and helpful. They seem to still be under construction and there's also a lot of road work nearby, which makes driving there a bit difficult. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Decent amount of space as well. I'd stay here again if the need arose.
