The restaurant was very cute and we were excited to try it out, but unfortunately no one welcomed us when we walked in...we had to ask if we were supposed to seat ourselves or wait. We sat in our booth for 20 minutes and no one gave us a menu or asked our drink orders despite there being only 1 other table. We decided to leave after a group walked in, sat right next to us, and was given menus immediately.

Great food! Great owner! Great waitress! Great cook!The pancakes were thick and fluffy. The eggs were cooked great. The potatoes were cooked great. And the sausage was juicy and tasted delicious! The owner is a women who take Sher business very seriously! Very good diner. I recommend everyone tries it.

This was my "Home Base" while in town. The Bear is warm and inviting. Minimally staffed so be patient it's worthwhile. I'm from the South so I had to endure breakfast without Grits! See y'all next year!

We didn't get anything too adventureous, we got pancakes, eggs, bacon, and toast. I really like the pancakes - the thicker fluffy kind little crispy on the outside chewy on the inside. Home fries could have been more crispy but I'll just order them well done next time. Might try the waffles or french toast next time see if they're as good.

We we're in town a few weeks before their summer season really gets going. We we're met by a sweet lady who both took our order and cooked. We we're the only customers there at the time so very quick service. Portions sizes we're good and food was delicious. I'd recommend stopping by for breakfast if you're in the area.
