Never had a bad meal here! Wonderful food and great friendly service. Beautiful family owns and runs this place.

Incredible restaurant with unbelievably knowledgeable and friendly staff who treat you like family. It is a little pricey but the food and service is worth every penny!

We arrived at the restaurant at 1300 to see if it was open since the lights were on and there was no obvious CLOSE sign. A gentlemen who was carrying clean dishes came out of the back room. He had an uncontrollable cough in which he kept coughing on the plates. We asked him if they were open. He answered rudely that there were no lights open (which the front ones were on). If this was the initial impression that this store displays, I for sure was not going to eat there. Interior is old and smells musty. Recommend better customer greeting and people skills.

This restaurant been here for 20 years and more and remember if it was bad place would not be here. The original owner still there every time they open and never miss the chance to come and talk with everybody. The food its WOW... The dishes are made on the spot to your pleasure and are to perfection. The ambient look like you are dining in a aristocrat beautiful place with white table cloth and of course the real flowers in the middle. i can keep going and talking this place but I want you to go and try it for yourself. Call ahead for reservation and dress nice. First dates are a must in here...Bon Appetit.

Had a nice quit dinner here last night. The atmosphere was cozy.the service was amazing. The food was very upscale and gourmet. I would suggest a dress or a collared shirt as I felt a bit under dressed in shorts and a button up shirt. The price was somewhat more reasonable than one would expect for a dinner of this caliber. There is quite a bit of art on display throughout the restaurant which really enhances the experience. For this reason I would say the atmosphere is what I enjoyed most about this hidden little gem nestled behind an understated facade in downtown Portsmouth.
