"Disappointed" would be the best word I could use to describe my experience at this Panera location. No croutons with my French onion soup, a dressing cup that was 1/3 of the way filled with my salad, and in my fruit cups all of the melon was bitter rind and the grapes tasted like cleaning chemicals. Someone is dropping the ball at this place. I attempted to call a manager to express my concerns and the phone just rang and rang... I was just in the store and it was not especially busy. With so many dining options in Norfolk, I'll just take my business elsewhere next time.

I do not hold Panera bread to very high standards to begin with but this last order was pretty bad. I got the steak and white cheddar panini and the "fuji apple" salad. They must have run out of the hoagie rolls that it comes so instead it was on one of the french baguettes they give as a side. It was hard as a rock. I actually ate most of it minus the bread. The salad was pretty gross too. Looked nothing like the picture. I guess I was expecting fresh apples in the salad not dehydrated apple chips. Overall the food was expensive and sub par at best.

Been going to this location for many years dining in, thought I'd try the new delivery for a change, bad mistake , they had me on hold for 10 minutes and it took the young man 5 whole minutes to complete my order which was a half salad and half soup, 15 total minutes on the phone . I had to repeat everything from the address the spelling , my name the spelling, and the order and card number was repeated , I'm a patient person, but this truly felt pain staking for the young man taking the order , they need better provisions and training for this delivery option for its employees in the store. What a mess 15 mins .

Panera delivery drivers from this location constantly speed dangerously around town. I've had two near-collision incidents, one occuring today at 7/26/17 12:30p when a Maroon KIA Sedan license plate (VTP**74) nearly side swiped me making a left out Panera onto 21st bearing the Panera logo on their roof. The vehicle almost hit a pedestrian in the cross walk. I have footage of this event saved from my driving camera. On top of this, everyone who lives around here, especially young women, are terrified to go to this location. That's because management allows hoards of homeless men to occupy the outdoor seating, going table to table asking for food or money. This is within the restaurants boundaries. It's not unusual to experience pan handlers in Norfolk, but it is when you're dining at a reputable business. Management and staff clearly witness this, but do little to remedy the situation. This happens nearly every visit here. This Panera has portrayed to me that the brand fosters unsafe dining experiences and reckless driving.
