From the moment I walked in the door, to checking out at the end I felt welcome. The staff was extremely friendly and was in no hurry to get me in and out. I would highly recommend Jakes Place to any guys who are looking for quality barbers at a reasonable price. The entire experience is relaxing and well worth the time spent.

The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. Upon checking in at the front desk you're offered a beer (or other drink) which really sets Jake's place apart. It makes getting your haircut, massage, or other service more of an experience rather than a check on a list of things to do. I had Rebecca for my haircut and she did a fantastic job. She was very engaging all while paying close attention to the task at hand. I'm very particular and specific with my hair, she helped me decide how to get it cut and it turned out wonderfully. Would highly recommend Jake's place.

Not a bad place but when I booked my fiancee's appointment, they never asked what he needed to get done which I thought was odd. Then when we got there he asked for a trim and a shave. The girl he had was still training to shave so she originally dais she's fine someone else. After she trimmed his hair (which wasn't great because he's African American and she cut it into a box shape), she said there was no one available to do the shaving because everyone was booked. My problem is, wouldn't it make sense to ask during the appointment call what we needed so they could adequately prepare? The girl did fine but it made no sense to me.

I've been coming here for the past 3 years, and I simply cannot say enough good things about this place. Had a very important interview on a very tight schedule and my stylist accommodated me despite her schedule being completely booked. I will not go anywhere else for a haircut. Ask for Lauren, she's the absolute best.

So glad I sent my husband in! We'd been talking about pedicures (he's in the Navy and his feet get pretty beat up!) so I decided to look into finding a place specifically for men. I have worked in a 4-diamond resort/spa in NV and thus have high expectations. I was excited from seeing all the previous reviews and am so happy to leave my thoughts now too!

I was very delighted when I saw that Jake's Place has massage appointments. My husband is no stranger to getting deep tissue massages so I decided to surprise him with an appointment. His massage therapist, Laurie, was knowledgeable about her craft and my husband's calves/shoulders/neck are in great shape thanks to her. Booking his appointment was quick and easy, and (Donna?) was so friendly over the phone. My husband said the facilities were really nice, and from my observations, they work hard to keep the front desk and retail area looking sharp. To further note, he did get a pedicure and enjoyed that experience too!

From the inviting environment, to the professionalism of the staff, I can't seem to give enough praise! Thanks so much, I can't wait to send him in again.
