A very laid back vibe in Oakland's warehouse district. The staff is responsive and professional. You can tell that the owners are serious about food and wine, but not pretentious.

Been coming here for years. Used to come from the city just for the burger and Bloody Marys. Not 5 stars cuz the staff can get cliquish and forget all about you. Delicious though.

The bride and groom choose the Chop Bar as their venue for the wedding rehearsal dinner. The food was wonderful from the appetizers to main courses. The rock cod wrapped and baked in bananas leaves and the 3 inch thick, juicy pork chop were my favorites. I will be telling my eating buddies about the Chop Bar.

Uniquely creative food menu. Great selection of beer and wine on tap. Casual atmosphere. Street parking and parking garage nearby.
