I have given Woodminster Veterinary almost a month to provide some type of closure for our horrible experience. My family has not received call back in some time so it is with a heavy hear that I write this review.

We brought our beloved cat into Woodminster Vet 4 months ago for a checkup and we were looking for a Veterinarian closer to our home. Several tests were recommended in addition to a deep teeth cleaning. We trusted the recommendations and went ahead with the procedure. Unfortunately our cat never recovered from the anesthesia and had to be put to sleep. We were devastated to say the least but the events that occurred during his last two days were a nightmare.

1. I was charged for flea medication and antibiotics prior to the procedure which totaled around 250$. The day my husband picked up our cat from the dental cleaning he was charged for the exact same thing that I had just paid for. We did not realize until the next day that had happened.

2. I knew immediately that something was wrong when i picked up our cat. I took him home and hours later called the clinic. Labs were recommended to explore the issue. I asked what the labs could show and what they were looking for and was yelled at and berated by Dr. Adar. She refused to answer my questions and yelled "because I am the Dr". When i brought our cat back in that afternoon she continued to yell and humiliate me for questioning the labs. I left in tears confused and not knowing what to do. I eventually returned after our cat would not eat for 4 days and he was sadly put down.

3. I contacted Woodminster a week after this experience to express my disappointment. I felt taken advantage of in a time of need, hurt, embarrassed and angry that this procedure which ultimately killed my cat was even recommended. I spoke with the office manager Hannah who assured me she would make some resolution. She reported that she was there while the Dr. screamed at me and that she was so sorry I had to go through this. She apologized profusely for Dr. Adar's behavior and the unethical double charge for medications. She promised she would talk with the supervisor and contact me back. I waited an entire week before calling back. She again said she would get back to me asap- another week and nothing! I finally received a call saying they would refund me 95$ (the procedure, labs, medications and putting our cat to sleep cost over 1,000$!!!!!). I never received a call from the supervisor and in addition never even received the 95$.

I want to caution other pet owners from taking their animals to Woodminster Vet . Please click on the "Unsubstantiated Reviews (I.E. the reviews they pay to block) and see others horrible experiences. We can never get our cat back but i am hoping reading this will save another family the hardship we have endured.

I have used the Woodminster vet for a number of our pets and I have always had a good experience with everyone in the hospital. From the receptionist, to the nurses to the doctors, everyone is kind, gentle, professional, knowledgable, and treated my pets with love and care and exceptional service, every single time!!. Recently my daughter has been the one to bring her pets in because she has moved to the Bay Area and now lives in the Oakland Hills with her two Siberian Huskies and a cat that thinks he is also a dog. My daughter has had the same great experiences with the Woodminster Vet Hospital as I have had, and just recently this has included a removal of a foxtail from one of the dog's thighs, and the need for some eye meds for the other dog who had some irritation and gunk in his eyes that was bothering him. The hours at this vet are very user friendly for working folks. Open later than 5pm during the week, and open on the weekends. Very user friendly for animal owners, because it seems they never get sick between 9-5, just like children! If you need a great vet experience this is the place to go. Always, always tremendously great care and service, very professional, kind and compassionate. A great place to take care of your fur peeps!

I have been a client of Woodminster for the past 5 years and have always found their team to be exceptional. I have recommended other friends to bring their pets to Woodminster. I am a big fan!!!

Keep up the good work!

Took 2 small kittens in for an exam. Was told all they needed was a flea bath and other than that they were fine. 2 days latet, one died. Then I went to a lot of trouble catching a feral cat that looked sick and took her in. Was told I did not have an appt - but I did. After waiting some time was told to come back the next day. Again I had to find the cat and catch her to take her in. Waited an hour. The vet was very unfriendly -almost mean. She was very upset that the cat had diarrhea on the floor. After all that she told me to take her some place else. Will never go back
