Our favorite date night: serving staff is great (host staff is hit and miss during the busy hours), portions are huge (usually take half of it home), amazing food (only had one miss-cooked steak in 30+ visits and it was fixed and handled exceptionally)

We shared a Porterhouse Steak which cost almost $29.00 for a 20 ounce which we thought was small compared to other restaurants we ate at in Ocala. It came with one side but if you chose a side salad, it was an additional $2.99. Our side was a loaded bake potato and we purchased the side salad to go with the meal. The salad was tasty but small. The baked potato was pitiful... It was hardly loaded and tiny... Honestly, the steak was very tasty and so was the salad. The small portions and pricing will keep us away from this restaurant. Lastly, during the middle of the meal... we asked why the meal didn't come with bread??? The waitress said "Oh, you have to ask for it" so we did and we were happy with the bread but it came with frozen butter.

Dinner was delicious. We had the Great American Steak dinner - sirloin steak, side, choice of salad, choice of one of three appetizers or one of three desserts. Our waitress was very helpful (forgive me for not remembering her name). She and my sneaky husband planned my birthday surprise, even though she forgot to cross the "t" on birthday. She said she always forgets. 👍👍

We ordered dinners and not lunches. We had to ask for the bread. I did not want seasoning on my steak as it sends me to the bathroom from past experiences. Waitress wanted to debate that i would be fine with it!! She was very curt the entire time. Not the service we are used to at longhorn. 57.00 and feeling like we delivered the customer service. Food was great three stars due to snooty attitude.

The best dining experience I have ever had with children. When we were sat, the waitress asked if she could get the kids meals in first for us and gave the girls something to color. As we were finished ordering dinner for ourselves, their dinner arrived. I could help them and without my food going cold because it wasn't at the table yet. When the kids meals were coming out, she asked if she could get the girls ice cream for dessert. We said yes. When our meals arrived, it was hot and yummy. The girls were eating their ice cream. We have never had such an excellent experience dining with children. More restaurants should consider how to time a meal as well as Longhorn's.
