Walked in: Was greeted and told to sit anywhere I liked.
Came in the evening, and blinds on the front windows would help about half the people in the restaurant who are facing the windows see.
In looking at the menu (which should have been retired a long time ago), gives an impression of a struggling restaurant that is trying to make sure they get money from their customers. Warnings about splitting meals and extra expenses, to the menu telling you that you have to have an order in before they will bring you one complimentary basket.
It speaks of a cheapness to the owners.
I ordered and was quickly brought ships and salsa.
Two of the salsas that were brought out where ok, and one wasn’t great.
The chips were floor chips - nice touch. But were cold. Not just room temperature. Disappointing.
Meal comes. I ordered enchiladas. The “complimentary side order of lettuce and tomato” that the menu said came with each plate as the garnish that must Mexican restaurants put on their plates and don’t advertise it.
The chicken enchiladas were good. A good seasoning to the chicken. The sauce that was on top was very runny and could have been reduced a bit more so it didn’t run everywhere.
Beans and rice were good also.
I never got the tortillas that were promised on the menu.
Over all, not a bad place, but nothing to write home about. A few things could be improved to make it a better experience.

The staff is top of the line, always attentive to your needs, the food is definitely good. Haven't found a better place yet in ocala for authentic mexican food. Not hard to find, great place will definitely be coming back every time im in the area.
Cold beer hit the spot, and the hot salsa is a must, if you're into the hot stuff.
Looking forward to trying more on the menu next time around.😄

Awesome little mom n pop eatery. Clean, friendly staff, great beer, really good food. Reasonable prices, nice quantity and quality. If I lived near here, I'd eat there daily.

This was My Very First Time Eating Mexican Food and It Was Excellent ! Excellent Taste, Excellent Portion Size and Excellent Friendly Staff Specially Cristina The Server. I will Suggest to Anyone including Family an Friends to Visit This Authentic Mexican Restsurant...... Viva Mexico!

Not making this up. Best Mexican I ever had. Taste like real fresh food. Homemade toasty tortillas. Staff is very nice. I got the Ranchito plate.
