I love love love Dr, Calhoun. She has been my children's doctor for almost 18 years I don't trust no me but her. My children absolutely love her.. She is the best..

I'm really torn about this place. I'll start with the cons. The building is very run down and the waiting room is tiny for the amount of people they take during the day. I usually find myself standing in the waiting room because there are no seats. Also, we have appt times but they are never kept when we go. They check people in as they come in and it seems like it's first come, first serve. The least I've waited was 20 min for an appt an the longest was an hour and a half. Now for the pro, I really love the doctor (Dr Calhoun). She really cares and she remembers us every time we come in. I know that doesn't seem like much but for the amount of people they get, I feel more "taken care of" by it. Also she is very knowlegdable and answers the many questions I had. She gives great advice on what activities to do during that time frame. She has given us many soaps and books for free. If she would move to a newer facility it would be great but this will have to do for now.

It was a very bad experience for me and my young son. I went to this office 3 times and each time I went, it got worse. On the 2nd and 3rd visit, I brought a friend on my appointment with me. She too, agreed that it was a dirty, messy and unprofessional doctor's office. Just to name a few; The waiting room was full of dirty toys thrown all over the floor, the examining room had dirty tissues and band-aids on the floor, the nurses fought with each other about how to bill my insurance. I told the doctor that my son sounded congested and she didn't even listen to his lungs. After finding a new doctor, I had my son's health records transferred and there were details and documents missing from his records. My experience in Mission Mesa was the worst ever! Take it from this mom, you shouldn't take your children to this office.
