Pretty surprised by the bad reviews. We've been taking our pets here for years and I don't have a single negative thing to say. Our cat passed away last year and they made wonderful arrangements for my pet's remains and allowed me to sit in a private room with my pet until I was ready to leave. We currently have two dogs on their wellness plans and received some disappointing news about our senior dog - the doctor gave me the bad news with the greatest professional sincerity. Being associated with a major chain is not desirable for me personally, but I'd highly recommend their services and feel more than comfortable with the level of care that my pets are receiving.

Great service and they even gave my puppy a discount on his medication due to the fact that I was on my wellness plan! I love banfield! The CSC at the front who's name was Catherine or Cailin (sorry I'm bad with names) was SO helpful, I was surprised as to how much she knew! Forever and always a banfield customer and consumer of the royal canine brand for my dog known as the dublèt.

Let me start off by saying that I have had nothing but great treatment at the Marron facility in Oceanside. The staff are always polite and very empathetic to my dog's needs. Yes, it is expensive the veterinary care, but I have found this to be true at any facility that I have been to. I am always very vigilant on obtaining fees up front and they always try to work with me on keeping costs to a minimum. They will price match medication with online pharmacies and they waived my enrollment fee when I signed up for the wellness plan.
The only complaint I really have is that when my regular vet was on vacation I saw a different vet every time I had to take my baby in to check her allergy condition, but since she has returned I have been able to schedule all visits directly with her.
So in closing, I have to say most of my experiences here have been positive and the vets have been very knowledgeable and caring.

#hideyourpets #hideyourwallets DO NOT GO HERE! This is one business I would give 0 stars to if possible. I have been going here for the past couple years and have gotten completely screwed by this business. SEVERAL instances have been completely unacceptable and I am now contacting the Better Business Bureau to inform them of their shady business practices.
First off, back in June of this year, my dog went in for a check up and informed the 2 girls at the front desk he was very skittish about going to the vet and my mother informed them he needed a leash because he might run, as they continued to discuss WHAT THEY WERE HAVING FOR LUNCH they placed my dog on the scale WITHOUT a leash. He then ran out of the store nearly missing a moving vehicle. We have had this dog for over 6 years now and he almost died because of the neglect of those at the front desk. Apparently we can only file a report if he was hurt, so who wants to put their dog at bodily risk just to get the ball moving on them neglect of their animals? Not me.
Next issue is the fact that my dog needed to get an X-ray done and they lured me into the Banfield Wellness plan. I say lured because they don't discuss the fine print details like that it's an AUTOMATIC ONE YEAR RENEWAL. They do not send you a notice that it automatically renews after one year either, no email, no phone call, no letter, no smoke signal.... NOTHING! I SPECIFICALLY asked the Dr when I could cancel the plan and she said anytime after 6 months with no penalty not informing me it was an annual plan that automatically renews and if you use it you have to pay the balance of what you use if you cancel.
I have talked to the store manager and everyone in between and they basically just don't want to absorb the cost ($425) owed because they screwed up on giving out false information. So they are putting it on me, a full time college student and full time worker who pays all her own bills! Letting a customer know that you can CANCEL ANYTIME AFTER 6 MONTHS WITH NO PENALTY IS FALSE INFORMATION. They pretty much don't care that they are screwing over their customer base which is paying their bills. Just hope you sleep well at night knowing your salary is based off of deceiving people. Congrats on being a terrible example of how not to run a business. Was going to cancel my plan to come back to it once I finished off my semester but you have lost a customer and family FOR LIFE. This is coming from someone who works in the customer service industry. Will work overtime to make sure no one else gets stuck in your dog crap of a business scam.

A NIGHTMARE! I don't know how they keep getting rid of the bad reviews people have posted in the past on GoogleYahoo and other review sites about this God awful place as I know I wrote one in the past and there were at least five other horror story postings by other people as well. I understand that their hack British Doctor (and I use the term loosely) the Michael Myers of Veterinary medicine has packed up and left back for England. Good Riddance! Probably a wise decision before someone handed him out a vigilante just deserved retribution. The thought had crossed my mind a time or two! Gone or not I still will never take my baby boy back there again. That unfeeling callous hack chopped up my little Eskie's mouth like a piece of hamburger pulling nine teeth without my knowledge or permission! In my brief phone communication with him as he cut me off short Dr. Scumbag seemed obsessed only discussing my Master Card and the large amount my bill would be ducking my direct questions. I almost left the old lady for taking him there and giving them Cart Blanch in his treatment or I would have stuffed a lawsuit so far up their rectums they would have tasted their own breakfast! I was mad as hell at her for months after the incident. It wasn't the bill no matter how padded or least to say creative billing and charges were. It's a member of the family so you put that aside focusing on the prognoses. But I just knew that my little American Eskimo was put through hell with a lot of needless procedure and treatment just to pump up a bill. I never would have allowed such treatment without at least another qualified Veterinarian's opinion. He suffered at home for a week after and I called in a home mobile Veterinarian to come to the house I was so concerned. He would not express his feelings or comment on my Baby Boys treatment at Banfield after his examination of the work done but I could clearly see the disdain in his eyes. One of those code of ethics don't rat out your fellow Vet or whatever the reason. Any way you have been warned so it's your call. PERSONALLY I WOULDN'T TAKE MY LITTLE GUY BACK THERE IF THEY PAID ME! Banfield created a paranoid monster in me as I don't even allow him groomed without my being present to watch out for him.
