I would give a negative rating if I could. I went in for a strep test and saw a PA briefly. They charged me 400 dollars after my insurance "discount" (non-discounted charges were nearly $800). Based on experience, other urgent care facilities would have charged around $150 for the same services. AVOID if you can...

The wait was too long considering there were only a few people in the waiting room. There seemed to be a lot of employees not doing anything. Dr. Aberra was great and took very good care of me.

If it's your last option.... don't go! I woke up with a cough Saturday morning on the weekend of 4th of July. I thought it was minor but it progressively got worse over the day. I took cough syrup and some allergy meds that night. The next day I could hardly talk and was having cough attacks that would make my chest hurt badly. So, I tried the Walmart clinic but they were closed. I couldn't find another place close by so I just went here. The lady had me sitting in the waiting room for 45 mins before telling me my insurance card was expired. Once I saw it and realized I have the old one I texted my mom and had her send me a picture of the newer one. Sheafs me sit for another 20 mins before telling me that she couldn't validate it. I had my brother send me a picture of his copy but she said that the numbers were the same. Once I showed her the numbers that were different she said "oh no that numbers for your Rx meds not for this. So we can't validate it because they are closed and not answering their phones." Of course they are closed!! It's a holiday weekend!! I have never had so much trouble before.
Well after nearly two hours they call me back and sit me in a room. The nurse was very nice. The doctor came in, checked my ears, throat, and my breathing. I told him I was having trouble sleeping because I couldn't stop coughing and about my cough attacks. He told me he would prescribe me a few meds and left. I had to pay $200 before they would see me since I had to self pay btw! My time with the doc lasted maybe 2 mins and he prescribed me medication that didn't even work!! When I left I asked the lady at the desk how much more I needed to pay and she said that I was good. Turns out I got a bill in the mail for another nearly $300!! I took all the medication he prescribed for the days it was prescribed for and was still sick for another 2 weeks after I ran out of medicine. Should've just suffered through a few days and went to my regular doctor!! Never again.

I don't have a Primary Care physician here, so I almost always go to this Urgent Care clinic when I need medical help. The staff has always been kind, polite, & helpful. The nurses, doctors, PAs, & RNs I've seen for treatment have all been professional & made it a point to carefully explain my treatment options.
I highly recommend the JBS Parkway clinic.

We came here one evening after I picked my son up when I got off of work because the school nurse thought there was a possibility my son had strep. While we were waiting, my son began vomiting in the waiting room (which thankfully had no other patients by this time). The receptionist assisted me with getting my son to the restroom and kept insisting that it wasn't a big deal and kept telling me not to worry as I was so very embarrassed and apologetic. I tried to help the housekeeper clean it up and she also kept telling me that it was okay, and not to worry. When we got to the back office, he began vomiting again and the girls sprang into action and got us a basin so I could walk him to a different restroom. When the physician came in, he was great about interacting with my 6 year old and asking him questions about what he thought was wrong with him, which made him feel special! :-) When we were leaving, the girls who had assisted him, and even some that hadn't, all told him to feel better and called him by name, which made us both feel good. We were there a little over an hour which is not bad at all for a walk in clinic, especially with the detours we had taken because of my son feeling ill. Every person we came in contact with was VERY friendly and VERY professional and courteous. I highly recommend Dr. Aberra, and the staff here. They did a fantastic job of making us feel welcomed. We live in Midland (I work in Odessa and it is also where my son goes to school) and as much as I would've rather gone to an office closer to my house, I am very glad that my sister in law, mother of 4, recommended us here and would go again if needed!
