I stayed here recently and I have to say the staff was very accommodating. Had to extend my stay by a day and it was a holiday weekend but the staff at the governor made it work! The rooms were nice and the beds were super comfortable, nothing bad to say about the place other than there was a Continental breakfast advertised but apparently that was not accurate. Everything else was A+ service and accommodations

This hotel has a great location and views on the lake side, so be sure to ask for a view when you check in. Everything about this place is mediocre and just at the level where you don't really complain. Little things like the shower knob turns forever and randomly goes from hot to cold. The walls in the bathroom were dirty, and a ring of filth in the sink. There was also a large TICKING clock!!! Who does that? So little sleep was had. Continental breakfast was basic but no one can really complain about free food. Service was friendly and fine. Also had a bit of a funky smell in the lobby.

Bed were very comfortable. I would gladly stay there again the only reason this is not a 5 star review is because my room was not ready to be checked into by 3p.m. and the towels were left out when the cleaned it. There were in a mad dash to her rooms turned and ready it did make me question the thoroughness of the cleaning. All in all it wasn't to bad and is in an pretty accessible location.

The location is close to the capital building and in an area where there are lots of places to eat and shop. The room is fine, but this definitely feels like an old and somewhat run-down building. The down elevator button on our floor didn't work. The lamp on the bedside table wasn't plugged in and there was no outlet to plug it into. Parking is free, which is nice, but that's about it. It needs upgrading, all around.
