I suppose the owner had a dyslexic moment and charged my $17.41 tab as $71.14. I caught the mistake on my receipt before signing & spent several minutes waiting for him to attempt correction. When I suggested he just pay me the difference in cash he said the machine will fix it. He brought me a refund receipt and I left the restaurant. A few minutes down the road, I check my bank account and saw no evidence of refund, so I turned around and returned to the restaurant. The owner gave me a void receipt but explained I might not see the credit tomorrow on holiday (July 4). July 5 and still no evidence of a void or refund of the $71.14.
Such a hassle: I had to drive 30 minutes back to the restaurant and pick up my cash. Terrible service: I walk up the counter where zero customers are and the owner hand gestures his wife will help me. I see she is flipping papusas and next packs a to-go order. I think maybe she's making them for me to help make up for this inconvenience. Nope. Turns out they are for a customer who steps aside to pay. Why couldn't she have given him the key to save time. Perplexed as to why I've been waiting 7 minutes to get a refund, I say to the owner, are you going to refund me? He says his wife has the key and points to the cash drawer. He also told me it wasn't his fault, it was the machine's. Shaking my head. How about accept responsibility and apologize for the inconvenience.

I had a great experience with this cute family owned restaurant! I was able to order a completely vegan meal with no problems. There were a lot of vegetarian options that we're able to make vegan.The food was so delicious! This is my favorite Salvadorian/Mexican restaurant in Olympia!
